Terms of Service

Agreement. By setting up or using The Cue — the calendar-aware desk light together with its website and cloud service (the "Service") — you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

What the Service does. The Cue reads your Google Calendar (read-only) and changes the color and animation of your light as a meeting approaches, starts, or runs. It is an ambient convenience, not a critical alert system.

Not a guaranteed reminder. The Cue depends on your Wi-Fi, Google's Calendar service, and our cloud staying online, and can miss or delay a signal for reasons outside our control. Do not rely on it as your only reminder for anything important — keep your usual alarms and notifications.

Your account. You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for activity under it. You must be old enough to use a Google account in your country, and you should keep your device's setup code private.

Acceptable use. Don't attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service, don't reverse-engineer the cloud service, and don't use it to violate any law or anyone else's rights.

Google services. Your use of Google Calendar through The Cue is also subject to Google's own terms. We only ever request read-only calendar access, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes. We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, and may change these Terms. If we make material changes we'll update the date above; continuing to use the Service means you accept the updated Terms.

The device. Any physical warranty for the light hardware, if offered, is provided separately at the time of purchase. These Terms cover the website and cloud service.

"As is." The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement — to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Cue and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including missed meetings, lost time, or lost data — arising from your use of the Service.

Termination. You may stop using the Service and disconnect it at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end access that violates these Terms.

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the Service's operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
